Promotional Products and Their Importance in Your Marketing Plan

Hello and welcome to my first posting!

My name is Al Vazquez. I am the president and co-founder of Active World, LLC, a promotional products consulting company located in Brooklyn, NY. With this being my first entry, I decided to provide some background information that I believe is important.

What are Promotional Products?

Promotional products are useful, tangible items imprinted with an advertiser’s name, logo or message designed to increase brand awareness among consumers. Promotional products are an incredibly powerful marketing tool since they allow a brand to connect with consumers by engaging their senses.

Assuming you arrived at our company’s website intentionally, it must mean you are on the internet searching using words like t-shirts, custom made shirts, promotional products, giveaways, holiday gifts, incentives, recognition awards, personal protection equipment. You are not the only one. Promotional products is a $24.7 billion industry and has been growing steadily for over a decade.

The Reason I’m in the Promotional Products Industry

Considering all of that, I want to share how I wound up spending the last 43 years involved in sharing the happiness of promotional products. As a young boy, I looked forward to Fridays with great anticipation for on Fridays, my uncle came to our apartment to visit my mom. More importantly, he always gave me a quarter which I was allowed to spend on anything I wanted: CANDY!

While wiping away my tears, I just happened to read on the wrapper a note that contained the words “100% Satisfaction Guarantee.” After investigating further, I decided to act on the recommendation to write a letter to the company. A few weeks later with the sadness of my spoiled candy forgotten, my mom told me I received a package from M&M’s.

Oh boy! With anticipation, I tore open the box. What I found were six-packs of M&M’s.

Besides gorging myself and getting ill, I became a lifelong customer. Not a week passes that I do not sneak a few of the candy-coated chocolate. M&M’s made an excellent investment. Their ROI must be 100,000%!
